Do you have a good method of organizing your comparable data?  Did you know that the CIE Database offers an excellent way of keeping track of your closed transactions?  

The comparable information in the CIE database continues to grow exponentially, however, there is still questions among users on when and how to enter their Sale and Lease Comps. 

If it’s a Sale listing, change the Status from "Active to Sold", from the pull down menu. The Comp Data section opens in order to fill in the relevant comparable information.  Fill in as much as possible. Remember, this is the same information that you expect agents and brokers to give you when you call them AND it much easier to enter the data once, and have it available for others to access, then returning phone calls over and over with the same information.

If it’s a Leased listing' there’s an extra step to correctly manage the status change.  First, you have to edit the suite information.  Click on the edit button next the effected suite, change the status from "Active to Leased".  Similarly, the leased comp data box opens to enter your comparable information.  NOTE:   If there was only one suite available, be sure to change the Listing Status to Leased when you’re finished entering your suite data; otherwise you’ll have an active listing with no available space.

When sending out an email with a CIE brochure, it is no longer necessary for you to select the recipients in Step 3. We have taken care of this step for you based upon the emails that members have chosen to receive.

95% of all members have chosen to receive ALL emails, the rest have chosen not to receive emails of certain property types and properties located in certain areas.  

When sending an email, if you select all members, you will be spamming members with emails they do not want to receive. They in turn, can block all future emails from you. Don’t allow this to happen, just skip through step 3 and everyone stays off the “blocked” list.
